This document analyses the challenges of the city’s social services and reflects on these within the framework of current trends in Spain and Europe. In addition, the necessary elements are considered to obtain a model for the future in the social services of the municipality.
It is based on the analysis of current trends in social services and includes the contributions of the “Day of analysis and debate on social services in the City of Madrid” that was held on May 16th, 2018.
The document is structured in two parts:
- Context of social services in the context of social and demographic changes and in the situation of the municipality of Madrid
- Identification of strategic elements that can lead to a new model of social services
