My name is José Manuel Fresno and I am the Founder and Executive Director of Fresno, the right link. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Political Science and a second degree in Philosophy.  Furthermore, I am a Master’s degree graduate in Business Administration. I have mover 25 years of experience in the functioning of organisations acting as director, counsellor and project facilitator. Before founding Fresno, the right link, I was executive director in relevant third sector organisations such as the Fundación Luis Vives and Fundación Secretariado Gitano.  

 I have worked in different countries like Belgium, Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Bosnia, Macedonia, Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine and Russia. Moreover, I am the author of numerous research and academic publications about social sector politics.  

Currently, I provide guidance to several social inclusion projects of the European Commission as well as to the Council of Europe. In 2019, I was officially named as an external expert of the European Commission and was member of the of the FRA Scientific Committee from 2013 to 2018.  

 At Fresno, apart from my role as Founder and Director, I offer support to European institutions, international organisms, public administrations and the third sector in topics related to poverty and social exclusion, equality, non-discrimination, migration politics and minority ethnicities.
