Roberto Bernad

Senior consultant, specialized in European funds and project cycle management in the social field.

  • Roberto Bernad has developed his professional career in an international environment, mainly in the field of European funds, programs management and direction and internationalization in the social sector. He has a Master's degree in International Relations and he has experience in the private sector and in the third sector.

    He actively participated in the introduction of the Housing First model for homeless people in Spain. He was the director of the Hábitat program at HOGAR SÍ and he has published various articles of national and international research, such as the Horizon 2020 project: Homelessness as injustice. He coordinated the research working group of the Housing First Hub Europe and the transnational research on fidelity to the Housing First model. In this area, he advised, among others, the Ministry of Health, Social Welfare and Consumption of Spain, the Ministry of Social Development of Chile and the Government of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.

    As a consultant in European financing, he supported and gave training to different public administrations and nonprofit organizations in the planning, access and management of European funds, and was the author of the European Financing Guide 2014-2020, edited by the NGO Platform for Social Action .

    Roberto is fluent in Spanish, English, French and Italian.
